I couldn't leave a comment on your blog for some reason. So I thought I'd post what I wrote here:
"First post = too long. Just kidding. I think these blogs are good. It'll be a way of staying in touch since we all aren't the most reachable by phone. I like the Taiwan moto idea. I know you like to beat yourself up in the quest for ultimate adventure. But, consider maybe one thing to become an expert at outside of your career. I have read and believe once you become an expert you always retain about 75% of your skill. For instance over a year's time (2006) I took thousands of jump shots focusing on release, form, & visualization. I didn't play bball for about 1.5 years until recently; once I got back on the court I was a little rusty but I still had a silky smooth jumper. That's mechanics and neural memory. I don't need to tell you your brain has more to do with your muscles than the muscles themselves. I mean I am all for trying new things but it's nice to know I am not on the periphery of potential."
